Privacy Policy
How FERDÉON collects, uses and protects your information when you visit ferdeon.com or place an order.
Information we collect
- When you order: your name, email address, phone number (if given), shipping address and the pieces and options you choose.
- Payment details: entered directly into Stripe's secure payment form. FERDÉON never sees or stores your full card number.
- When you contact us or join our newsletter: your name, email address and whatever you write in your message or custom request.
- Your bag: the items in your bag are saved in your own browser (local storage) so they're still there when you come back. This stays on your device.
- Basic technical data: like any website, our hosting provider and the services below may receive your IP address, browser type and pages requested, mainly for security and to deliver the site.
How we use it
- To make, ship and support your order, including exchanges, and to send you order and shipping updates.
- To calculate sales tax and prevent fraud.
- To answer your questions and custom requests.
- To send our newsletter, only if you signed up. Every newsletter lets you unsubscribe, or you can email us to be removed.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that help us run the store, and only what each needs:
- Stripe: payment processing, fraud prevention and sales tax calculation.
- Shipping carriers and our shipping software (such as USPS and Pirate Ship): your name and address to deliver your order.
- Netlify: hosts our website.
- Resend and Zoho Mail: send and receive our emails, including your contact and custom-request messages and our replies.
- Zoho Campaigns: keeps our newsletter list and sends our newsletters, only if you signed up.
- Google Fonts and image and video providers (such as Unsplash and Pexels): load fonts and media on our pages and may receive your IP address.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, for example in a payment dispute.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
Cookies
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe may set cookies on the checkout page to keep payments secure and prevent fraud.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal purposes (generally up to 7 years). Messages and newsletter signups are kept until you ask us to delete them or they're no longer needed.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you emails, by writing to concierge@ferdeon.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law; we'll honor them. We may need to keep some order records where the law requires it.
Security
Our site uses HTTPS encryption, and payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI-certified payment processor. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
Our store is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it last changed.
